Breakfast Bread
Almond, Cinnamon, Sugar
This Breakfast Bread is made with Cinnamon, Sugar with almond extract. It is over the top soft with a crisp crust. Great for holiday Christmas bread, You can make it in your bread machine, or by hand. We have instructions for both. This is one bread you will want to make over and over again. yes! it's THAT good! The dough is soft yet firm which makes an incredible desert bread.
You Will Need
For The Bread

Cup Luke Warm Water

1/2 TBSP Salt

1 TBSP Yeast
-
1 TBSP Almond Extract
-
4 TBSP Sugar
-
1/3 cup Vegetable Oil
-
1 tsp Cinnamon
-
1 Egg
-
3 Cups Flour
For The Bread Machine
Add Luke warm water, salt, yeast almond extract, sugar, oil, cinnamon, let rest for 10 minutes until yeast activates. Once activated add egg and flour, Select Dough setting. Once cycle finishes, punch down dough and form dough ball.
By Hand
Add Luke warm water, salt, yeast almond extract, sugar, oil, cinnamon, let rest for 10 minutes until yeast activates. Once activated add egg and flour, mix well, cover and let rise 30 to 1 hour until doubled size.

For The Glaze

1 Cup Powdered Sugar
-
1/2 TBSP Almond Extract
-
3 TBSP Evaporated Milk
Directions

When yeast is activated you will see tiny bubbles form on the top as shown in picture.

If using Bread Machine, open every now and then and scrape sides to make sure ingredients are all evenly mixed.

Divide Dough In Half (Equal Parts)

Roll each half into a log making sure but are the same in length and portioned evenly.


Connect one side to the other, and press dough into each other, tuck in ends and press together as you tuck. Braid dough, connect the end and tuck under neatly.


Sprinkle generously with Cinnamon and Sugar.

Recipe

Bake at 350 for 40 minutes, after 20 minutes, cover top with aluminum foil to keep from over browning. Make Glaze.

Out of powdered sugar? Did you know you could make your own?

When you take it out of the oven, brush with melted butter, sprinkle with more cinnamon Sugar, and top with glaze. (You could also add slivered Almonds to the top) Make the night before for a breakfast treat. Serve with Cream cheese, coffee and of course more butter. Enjoy!~
