Shredded Turkey with mashed potatoes
and Gravy

Delicious Turkey from Bone Broth, smothered in a rich gravy and a pinch of cheese. What is not to love? I made this with left over frozen Turkey and was amazed  how "Restaurant Style" (better than, actually,) it came out.  Easy to pack for quick lunches and easy to freeze left overs. Although, I'm not sure you will have any leftover. YES, it's that good!

You Will Need

For the Turkey

1- 5 pound Butterball Turkey (If you are wanting to make Turkey broth to freeze follow this recipe first.)

4 cups Turkey Broth

Gravy Packet from Turkey

1 tsp Garlic Powder

1/2 tsp pepper

1/2 tsp Salt

2 Heaping TBSP Flour

Enough water to flour to make a thin paste

For The Mashed Potatoes

8 medium Potatoes
1/2 Stick Of Butter
1/2 cup sour cream
1/2 ts pepper
1/2 ts salt (if your gravy isn't salty)
1/2 cup half & Half

1 tsp Garlic Powder

For The Broccoli

3 Cups Broccoli
1 tsp Garlic Powder
1/2 Stick Butter

Salt and Pepper to taste.

Directions

1.On the stove top, I made my broccoli, add broccoli, and enough water to cover to a pan, boil until  desired  tenderness is reached.  Strain and transfer to a serving dish, and add garlic powder, butter, and salt and pepper.  I did mine for  about 10 to 15 minutes on a rapid boil,  but everyone's  tenderness is different.

2. I started this recipe using frozen shredded turkey that was left over after making my Turkey Bone Broth (about 4 pounds)

3. I made my mashed potatoes first. Cut, peel and wash potatoes. Cut in half, (length wise, then into chunks. Pressure cook 10 minutes on high. transfer to a bowl, and add the rest of your ingredients and mash. (set aside) If you have  an additional instant pot, I would do the mashed potatoes in one and the Turkey in the other.

4. After potatoes are done, rinse pot. Add Gravy Packet with 4 cups Turkey Bone Broth Place frozen cooked Turkey inside. Pressure cook (Manuel) for 15 minutes.

5.  When pressure valve goes down, open lid and add Garlic Powder, pepper, salt, and flour mixture. Turn saute on, and stir until thickened. Add to the top of your mashed potatoes with a pinch of Colby Jack cheese.
