Easy Stir-Ins For Rice

  • Butter and Parmesan cheese

  • Peas and carrots.

  • Creamy gravy.

  • Sauteed garlic, mushrooms, peppers, onions, etc.

  • Broccoli florets and cheese.

  • Butter and Garlic Salt

Why Do You Need To Rinse Rice?

Rinsing the rice removes any debris, and most importantly, it removes the surface starch that otherwise causes the rice to clump together or get gummy as it cooks

What Rice is used for fried rice?

Medium to long grain rice works the best. I almost always use Jasmine rice which produces fluffy, sturdy grains of rice  that don't clump or fall apart when fried. Short grain rice tends to be softer and sticks together.
