Bacon Baked Beans

These beans are loaded with bacon, and fire roasted red peppers, they are better then any restaurant. The perfect blend of sweet, savory and smoky. A dish of Southern baked beans with tons of bacon, is a welcome addition to any backyard barbecue, and this homemade recipe is as easy (and flavorful) as it gets.

You Will Need

1 Pound Bacon cut into 1 to 2-inch pieces. 

1 Medium Onion Diced

2 TBS Butter

1 12oz Jar Roasted Bell Pepper Diced

1 Can Seasoned pinto Beans (Drained but not rinsed)

1 Can Navy Beans  (drained but not rinsed)

1 Cup Sweet Baby Rays bbq sauce (divided) 

1/2 cup Ketchup

1/4 Cup Brown Sugar

1 TBS Yellow Mustard

1 TBS Worcestershire Sauce

1tsp liquid smoke

1/2 tsp Garlic Powder

1/4 tsp pepper.

Instant Pot Baked Bean Directions

  1. Saute bacon, onion, and butter until bacon is browned and onion is almost clear/see-through. (midway I drained my juices so it would brown better. 

  2. Once browned drain completely.

  3. Add the rest of your ingredients (except 1/2 cup bbq sauce) and stir to combine.

  4. Place your lid on, (make sure it is on sealing and not venting,

  5. Press Manual for 30 min high pressure.

  6. When done unplug and let it release on its own. when pressure button has gone all the way down,

  7. Drain most of the liquid from beans, and add 1/2 cup bbq Sauce

  8. Mix well and Enjoy~

The Best Bacon Baked Beans Crock Pot Instructions

  1. Saute bacon, onion, and butter until bacon is browned and onion is almost clear/see-through. (midway I drained my juices so it would brown better.)  

  2. Once browned drain completely.

  3. Add to your crock pot

  4. Add the rest of your ingredients (except 1/2 cup bbq sauce) and stir to combine.

  5. Place your lid on, Cook on low for 6 hours, or on high for 4 hours

  6. When done, drain most of the liquid from beans, and add 1/2 cup bbq Sauce

  7. Mix well and Enjoy~
