  1. Place the trivet or steamer basket into your Instant Pot.

  2. Add one cup of water to the Instant Pot.

  3. Carefully place the eggs on the trivet or steamer basket, making sure they are not touching the water.

  4. Close the Instant Pot lid and set the valve to the sealing position.

  5. Select the "Manual" or "Pressure Cook" setting on the Instant Pot and set the timer for 3 minutes for medium-sized eggs, or 4 minutes for large-sized eggs. For extra-large eggs, you can try  5 to 6 minutes.

  6. The Instant Pot will take some time to come to pressure, and then it will start the cooking process.

  7. Once the timer goes off, perform a quick pressure release by carefully turning the valve to the venting position. Be cautious of the hot steam.

  8. Once the pressure has fully released, carefully open the Instant Pot lid.

  9. Use a slotted spoon to remove the eggs from the Instant Pot and place them in a bowl of cold water or an ice bath for a few minutes. This will stop the cooking process and help the eggs peel easily.

  10. Gently tap each egg on a hard surface to crack the shell, then peel the shell away.

Your soft-boiled eggs are now ready to enjoy! They can be served on their own with a sprinkle of salt and pepper or used in various dishes like ramen, salads, or as a breakfast accompaniment. Enjoy!
