Stove Top Directions Below
To make "jammy" eggs in an Instant Pot, you can follow these general guidelines for cooking time:
-
Pour 1 cup of water into the Instant Pot's inner pot.
-
Place the trivet inside the Instant Pot.
-
Place the eggs on the trivet.
-
Close the Instant Pot lid and set the pressure valve to "Sealing."
-
Select the "Manual" or "Pressure Cook" setting and adjust the cooking time to 4 minutes on high pressure.
-
After the cooking cycle is complete, perform a quick pressure release by turning the pressure valve to "Venting."
-
Carefully open the Instant Pot lid and transfer the eggs to an ice water bath to stop the cooking process.
-
Let the eggs cool in the ice water bath for about 5 minutes before peeling.
Keep in mind that the cooking time may vary depending on the size and model of your Instant Pot, as well as the starting temperature of the eggs. Experiment with the cooking time to achieve your desired level of "jamminess" in the eggs. You can adjust the cooking time up or down by 1 minute increments to find the perfect balance between a set white and a partially runny yolk.
