Keto Garlic Butter Shrimp


  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined

  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter

  • 4 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 teaspoon paprika

  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)

  • Salt and black pepper to taste

  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped

  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice


  1. In a large skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium-high heat.

  2. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant but not browned.

  3. Add the shrimp to the skillet, spreading them out in a single layer.

  4. Season the shrimp with paprika, red pepper flakes, salt, and black pepper.

  5. Cook the shrimp for 2-3 minutes on each side or until they turn pink and opaque.

  6. Add the remaining 1 tablespoon of butter to the skillet, along with chopped parsley and lemon juice. Stir until the butter is melted and the shrimp are well coated.

  7. Taste and adjust the seasoning if needed. Remove from heat.

  8. Serve the garlic butter shrimp over cauliflower rice or zucchini noodles for a low-carb, Keto-friendly meal.
